This is Why I Started Caffeinated Sites
My guess is you started your business (or want to start a business) because you love what you do.
Well, I started a business (multiple actually) because I just freaking love business!
I’m constantly reading business books and filling piles of notebooks with strategies and content ideas. My notes app is bursting with business quotes, notes, and anecdotes. (I love a good accidental rhyme, it’s almost as good as an accidental pun).
But if I am honest, what makes my heart sing is serving fellow entrepreneurs, like you.
I have started and stopped several businesses (shutting down a business you’ve worked so hard to grow maybe even harder than opening it, but that’s another topic for another day) and God has taught me so much through it.
The biggest lesson? You can do business your way without sacrificing Kingdom values and enjoy every step of the process.
If growing a business is where God has you; if this is a career you want to pursue - I want to help you to ENJOY the process, not just the milestones.
To give you the tools and resources to take big, brave steps forward in your self-made career with less risk and more reward.
To do that you’ll need a clearer understanding of topics like sales, marketing, and business development.
I want to see you effective in your role and walking forward with clarity and intentionality.
This is why I am a website designer, developer, and business strategist.
Your website should tie together all of the essential elements of your business into one, beautiful, and effective place that, when executed properly, WILL energize your business.
I want you to be able to maximize your efforts whether you choose to hire me to build a custom website or you choose to purchase a Squarespace Template from the Site Café and DIY your own. I want to cheer you on, encourage you, and remind you of Truth.
From each business endeavor, I have learned so much, namely that what I really want to do, for as long as God allows me to do so, is to take all the knowledge and experience I have gained from selling handmade goods, creating courses, teaching in-person workshops, building engaging email lists, designing all of my own websites, hosting multiple podcasts, and well, you get the idea. I’ve been so blessed to have worn so many different hats and now God has pressed it firmly on my heart to serve other entrepreneurs as they begin their own business ventures.
This is why I am a website designer.
I believe, I KNOW, you can enjoy your work without sacrificing kingdom values.
I know what it’s like to have a vision for something that you want to accomplish. Something that you know will not only benefit you but everyone around you; your family, your community, and our world.
Your heart is to serve.
Me too.
We both desire to do good work. Work that sustains our family, serves our people, and glorifies God above all.
Maybe you, like me, have started with high energy and excitement only to be met by an overwhelming amount of to-dos and seemingly unreachable standards.
Maybe you, like me, have felt the weight of comparison, inadequacy, and confusion in your business. Maybe you felt obligated to take certain steps or to do business in a certain way so that you can get to the goal you’re working towards, no matter the cost.
You did the email marketing thing, you published content on all the social media sites, and you poured your heart out daily only to be met with even more to-dos and very little engagement.
I know what it feels like to not know which steps to take next; so you take them all; doing too much at once with priorities that don’t align with your values.
Meanwhile, your marriage suffers, your kids only see you on your phone, and your mental health plummets.
This is a chapter straight out of my story.
I’m sure at this point you’ve done your research.
You’ve found other business educators who seem to have a surefire way for you to succeed in business. They paint this picture that makes it seem like if you can just get this right then your whole life will magically become more simple; happier; easier. Plus, they give you a step-by-step system to get there.
It starts to feel like if you could just work hard enough then this dreamy, Instagram-worthy life will just suddenly come upon you and your family. It’ll solve all your problems.
I am embarrassed to say that I believed that lie all too quickly.
But here’s the deal: It’s just not true.
Building a business does take work. Hard work. While I know you are not one to shy away from a challenge, I also know you don’t want to dread your day-to-day schedule.
I want to enjoy my work and I want to help YOU enjoy your work too!
We can’t do that without a better understanding of how to do our work well. My goal is to help you grow those business discernment muscles so you can take big, brave steps forward with less risk and more reward. I want to give you the tools and resources and education you need to be able to not only reach your goal but have FUN working towards it!
Here’s what I’ve come to learn after great successes like increasing a local non-profit’s annual donations by over 50% in less than a year - or selling out a handmade candle line just hours after it launched, again and again, is that: failure is inevitable.
Failure is not something to be ashamed of or something to minimize; it’s something to learn from.
With each crushing failure, I endured God taught me that I can do business and ENJOY my work without sacrificing Kingdom values, but that it will require me to be intentional and strategic with each step I take.
It starts with something as simple as the daily rhythms and habits you create for yourself and your family and it leaks outward each seemingly small step forward that will make a BIG impact, not just for your business, but in your life and the lives around you.
I cannot (nor should I) guarantee you success in all your endeavors. I can’t tell you that business is your calling, or that as an entrepreneur you’ll reach new heights of success.
I honestly can’t give you a formula for success. Because you and I aren’t the ones that get to define what success looks like in our lives.
What I CAN say is that if you trust God with something as precious and as intimate as your goals and dreams… well, let’s just say He doesn’t play small.
My mission is to help you enjoy your work. To help you to take big, brave steps forward in your career with less risk and more reward.
If growing a business is where God has you; if this is a career you want to pursue - I want to help you to ENJOY the process, not just the milestones.
Because it doesn’t suddenly get easier. As an entrepreneur, you’ll need to be constantly learning, adapting, and willing to roll with the punches.
In short: I want to see you effective in your role and walking forward with clarity and intentionality.
This is why I am a website designer and business coach.
Your website should tie together all of the essential elements of your business into one, beautiful, and effective place that, when executed properly, WILL energize your business.
Because you’ve done your research I don’t need to convince you why you need a website, but I sure would love to coach you along the journey.
I want you to be able to maximize your efforts! Whether you choose to book me for a Custom Brew or you choose to purchase a Squarespace Template from The Site Café and DIY your own it’s my goal to help you enjoy your work and to energize your business!
So you can serve your people and glorify God in all you do.
Because your people really do need what you have!
Stop holding yourself back and let’s both agree to start trusting God with our precious goals and dreams! They are safe with Him.
